POINT SYSTEM

Immobilize Rule-:

If a bot is immobilized, a countdown of 10 seconds will start. After that, the bot which caused the immobilization should be able to pull out of the immobilize hold. If he fails to do so, another count down of 10 seconds will start. If the bot fails to move out, both of the bots will be awarded equal points. If at any time both of the bots are immobilized, separate concurrent 10 second countdowns will be carried out for each bot; failing to react within the 10 seconds will award the opponent with points.

Point for immobilization- "200pts".

Destruction Rule-:

If a bot is able to successfully break of its opponent's parts, it will be regarded under the destruction clause. Please note a successful destruction will only be considered when an entire part such as a wheel or a motor will be broken off. Destroying just parts of the armour will not count as destruction. Again, a part will be considered to have been broken off by a bot if it breaks of after a strike and not by callousness of the owner. Intentional cutting of power supply of the opponent will lead to immediate disqualification. In this case the question of intentionality will be decided by the event coordinator present at the arena and no further claims or acquisitions will be entertained.

Points for destruction-"400pts".

Technical Timeout

1 Technical timeout of 5 minutes is allowed without any penalty to each team. After that two more-technical time outs will be allowed for 2.5 minutes each. The participant can choose when to take which technical time out. That is, he may choose to take the penalty technical time out first if he so wishes. During the technical time-out, the opponent will not be awarded any points. Points awarded to the opponent team for exceeding technical timeout- "100pts".

AUTONOMOUS MAZE SOLVER
Introduction

Objective:

  • Round 1 track will be made public two days before the event.
  • Round 2 tracks will be made public only after the successful completion of round 1 and declaration of Round 2 qualifiers.
  • No two teams should participate with the same robot.
  • Computers, programmers and software need to be arranged by the team themselves. We will provide two/three pin sockets with proper ground connections.
  • The competition is.only for autonomous robots; no manual robots will be entertained.
  • The robots should be able to process data on-board. No remotely kept computer should control the robots.
  • The robots have to be designed by the team itself.
  • Usage of commercially available modules such as sensors, development boards, etc. are allowed; but it is forbidden to use complete robotic-system which is sold readymade for the purpose of this competitions such as Lego kits.

Final Point Calculation

Time taken to complete track will be only awarded to participants who complete the track. Those who fail to complete the entire track or quit mi.d-way will not be awarded any points and loses their chance to go to next levels.
The points shall be gained as : P = 1000 – ((N+1)*T*10) N = no. of timeouts taken
T= time taken to complete the track
Robot Specification:
  • The robot should fit in a box of dimension 30cm x 30cm.
  • No limitations on height.
  • The maximum weight should not be more than 3.5 kg.
  • The robot can be powered electrically (internal or external). AC power source will be provided near the arena.
  • The bot should be operated at voltage not more than 20V. No Eliminator/Step down converters will be provided (if powered externally).
  • Your robot should be prepared to withstand interferences caused due to background light since the room wont be completely dark.

Arena Specification: The Arena will be declared two days before the event. Track Specification:
  1. Track will have multiple sections.
